Fiber Broadband Association Statement on U.S. Department of Agriculture ReConnect Program
“The Fiber Broadband Association would like to congratulate the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for investing $172 million in funding to connect rural residents, farmers, and businesses in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, and Virginia.
These Fiber-to-the-Home projects are critical and could not be achieved without programs such as the ReConnect Program, which is designed to fund the most difficult high-speed internet projects in the nation, which are in the most rural, remote, and unserved communities.
FBA looks forward to the success of these communities and cannot wait to see how fiber can take them even further.”
