FBA Official Statement on Biden-Harris Administration’s Talent Pipeline Challenge
“The Biden-Harris Administration’s Talent Pipeline Challenge is an exciting opportunity for employers, training providers, and state and local governments to kickstart the development of skilled workforces and high-quality jobs that will rebuild infrastructure across America. The Fiber Broadband Association is proud that its (OpTIC Path™) Program is named as one of the workforce commitment projects already underway. The Administration’s Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program has presented the fiber broadband industry with a monumental opportunity with funding that will allow us to finally close the digital equity gap forever. The Fiber Broadband Association just closed its annual Fiber Connect event, where the industry gathered to position itself to enter its largest investment cycle ever. Our OpTIC Path program is developing the skilled workforce of fiber technicians that will be critical to support the significant increase in fiber network builds that are expected over the next five years. We are honored that these efforts are recognized by the Administration and are eager to grow the success of the OpTIC Path program.”
