FBA Official Statement on FCC’s Actions on Communications Equity and Diversity Council Advisory Committee

“FBA applauds Acting FCC Chairwoman Rosenworcel for expanding the scope of the Advisory Committee on Diversity and Digital Empowerment – now the Communications Equity and Diversity Council Advisory Committee – to ensure underserved communities can access opportunities created by next-generation networks. All fiber broadband networks are the critical infrastructure to which all Americans must have access if they are to participate fully in our society, economy, and civic affairs. We look forward to the newly chartered Advisory Committee addressing ways to make sure underserved communities have the access to fiber infrastructure and the opportunities they bring.”
