Another Win in Utah: UTOPIA Fiber Completes $5.9M Gigabit-Speed Internet Build in the City of Cedar Hills

Murray, UTAH (November 28, 2023) – UTOPIA Fiber announced today the successful completion of its fiber-to-the-home build in the City of Cedar Hills, Utah. The $5.9 million project, which commenced construction on June 15, 2022, has now concluded with the delivery of ultra-high-speed broadband to every residential and business address in the city.

This milestone marks yet another significant achievement for UTOPIA Fiber as it adds Cedar Hills as its 18^th city with the fastest residential and business internet speeds available in the United States. The first homes were seamlessly connected to the lit fiber network on August 10, 2023, and the entire project, including 2,656 residential addresses, was completed on September 8, 2023.

Since 2009, the Cedar Hills City project—like all other UTOPIA Fiber projects—has been funded and grown solely through subscriber revenue. The completion of this project further extends UTOPIA Fiber’s reach, providing residents with access to speeds up to 10 Gigabits per second (Gbps) and 100 Gbps for businesses, currently the fastest speeds offered in the United States.
