FBA Official Statement Regarding North Carolina and California BEAD Funding Approval – 10/07/24

“North Carolina and California are the latest states to receive approval for the Initial Proposal for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment program, bringing the tally up to 51  approvals. That means we only have five more states/territories to go until we are officially past the Initial Approval step/ The Fiber Broadband Association would like to congratulate these two newly approved states and the NTIA for its diligence in awarding U.S. states and territories the funding needed to close the digital divide and truly deliver ‘Internet for All.’ As more regions receive approvals, we are that much closer to ensuring each American has access to fiber broadband and the opportunities that are presented with a reliable connection.”
